SOLD……This lovely 5 year old mare was raised carefully and professionally started. She’s a pleasure to handle, very straightforward to ride and amateur suitable. She is sired by the Oldenburg stallion His Querido out of premium mare Rivalia (by I am Graf Royal by Graf Gotthard ). Grand dam is premium mare Riverdale (by Kadans)

As a foal she won the CWHBA foal futurity and was complimented on her beautiful type and correct conformation. She’s a compact mare that should finish around 16 HH. Sire is just shy of 16.2 and the mom is 16.HH. She’s a powerful mover with plenty of step to make it down the lines with ease. The family shows quite a bit of a scope and very good technique naturally.

5 year old 15.2 HH Warmblood sweetheart of a mare. Dini as we call her in the barn is super brave with a great work ethic. She’s been off property to school, going well under saddle with 3 good gaits and a lovely jump. She’s been brought along carefully, available from the breeder and is now ready to graduate. Can’t take the credit for breeding him but was absolutely smitten when I met him as a yearling and just had to have him. He was a pleasure to raise. Bred by Coen Van Wely in Embro, Started by Scott Carmichael and further trained by Andrea Volasko and Jenny Jelen before I sold him on to this young talented rider from the North East. So proud. I knew he was the real deal and so happy I was able to place him with someone who would bring out the best in him.

Bonfilia, or Bonbon as she is affectionately called in the barn is a spectacularly talented mare for the jumper ring. She’s been developed slowly with a professional start as a 3 year old, and then brought to the home farm to mature and grow up. She was started back up again in her 5 year with a very solid dressage foundation and occasional work over fences. Now into her 6 year old year she is looking for someone to take on her continuing education and develop her to her potential.

Pedigree: Sire is Bon Balou (Balou de Rouet/Argentinus/Landadel), and dam is Rivalia, a mare by “I am Graf Royal” is is by the legendary Graf Gotthard Z. Damline also contains greats such as Ramiro, Amor and le Mexico.

Bonfilia carries a high percentage blood and is from a mare who consistently produced very good jumping offspring when bred to dressage stallions. It was time to try breeding her to a good jumper sire instead and see what she could produce.

The result is Bonbon, a very bold, athletic and powerful mare who is showing us a tremendous amount of scope and talent for the jumper ring.

Bonbon comes from a family of talented jumpers including this mare West River in the video below, who is sired by Westporte, a dressage bred stallion that’s used predominantly for the hunter ring. She is a successful Eventer, winning the Indoor Eventing Challenge at the Royal Winter Fair with a crazy 16 second lead over two rounds. With her owner she was the highest placing Junior and highest placing Canadian at the CCI 1* at Bromont that same year with a 6th place finish. The family has tremendous power and athleticism and we have big hopes for Bonfilia to be developed to her potential over fences.
