His Querido is standing at stud at VandenBrink Warmbloods in Niagara. This young promising Oldenburg stallion is from world renowned bloodlines. He has fantastic gaits, a lovely jump and is super rideable. He’s won his very first show under saddle the very competitive Lieutenant Governor’s Cup Qualifier in front of judge and Olympian Peter Gray. He placed him 1st out of 32 horse in the Under Saddle and 2nd in the in-hand component the Governor General’s Cup Qualifier. At the Royal he placed 6th under saddle and 7th in hand. He will be shown training level dressage next summer and start working over fences. He is licenced with the Canadian Warmblood Horse Breeders Association.
Frank is now Sold. Congratulations to Cheryl from Grimsby on her new dressage partner.

We took the girls (2015 fillies) out to the CWHBA Open Breed show to be shown in the CWHBA Foal Futurity as well as the Open Foal class. It was great to be able to show in front of different judges at the same venue. Sirique came in 2nd place and Bonfilia in 3rd place in the Foal Futurity in front of the judging panel of Christian Poschung, Andrew Dalnoki and Jill Stephen. Sirique had a blast flying around the very large ring at a canter and gallop but didn’t show much trot which hurt her scores. Under judge Lorraine McDonald in the Open foal class she tied for 2nd, and was declared Reserve Junior Champion.
We’ve decided to retain both these fillies at this point in time as potential broodmare prospects for our own herd. Sirique is by Sir Gregory out of Unique by Gribaldi. Her mother is an exceptional individual and very good producer. Bonfilia is by the late Bon Balou, out of our mare Rivalia, a powerhouse mare who produces good movement as well as a powerful athletic jump.
Riversong is now SOLD, congratulations Rebecca from Ohio. Riversong, is a 2014 filly, by Sir Gregory, out of Riverdale by Kadans. She is out of a family of very good dressage horses, and was awarded overall grand champion at the CWHBA Open Breed show in 2014, after winning the foal futurity, the open foal class, and junior champion.
Had a great time at the Clinic and Inspection at Elite Equine in Fenwick. It was a long and very hot day, but nice to have 2 of the babies inspected. We’ll be going to the Orangeville inspection with the other two. The boys scored well with very positive comments from the inspectors. Bon Vivant (Bon Balou/Viva Voltaire/Maraton) (chestnut) showed off his athleticism by leaping through the air, and cantering and walking very well, but unfortunately didn’t show much trot. He really didn’t want to follow mom and decided to take the ring time being an adorable goofball. He received an overall score of 7.75 including a 9 for General Impression and Development and 8s for Conformation and Breed and Sex Type. Special Edition (Special D/Redwine/Gribaldi)(bay) stuck with mom like he was supposed to which makes it much easier to show the gaits. He ended up with an amazing score of 9. His mom is back in foal to the same stallion. Both foals are for sale.
His Querido (aka Hans) wins the Lieutenant Governor’s Cup Qualifier on August 30th at RCRA. He placed 2nd in the Governor General’s Cup Qualifier. These are qualifying classes for the Royal Winter Fair for 3 year old Canadian Bred Sport Horses judged on Conformation and Movement. The LG cup is shown under saddle and then lined up with saddles removed to assess conformation. For the GG Cup the horse is presented in hand. The Judge was Peter Grey. His Querido is by His Highness out of Querida by Quattro B. We’re going to the Royal!!
