Another Foal Futurity winner

Well it’s a Wrap. Saying goodbye to 2020 with the year end results of the CWHBA Ontario Inspection tour. I’m thrilled to announce that His Querido’s foal His Royalty won BOTH the Foal Futurity and Open foal class of the tour. So happy with Hansy for consistently producing super movement and beautiful type to make winning foals for their owners. This super foal is now sold. Congratulations Sarah Smith. We are expecting a full sibling in 2021 that is available for sale.

Frederika and her owner and rider Juli Kovacs had a super show debut at Angelstone this year winning the First Level with an impressive 68%. Frederika is the third generation of our breeding program and is by the Westfalen stallion Freestyle out of Rivalia who is by Graf Royal out of Riverdale by Kadans. Both are Premium mares.

Juli says: “Frederika has the best temperament ever, she is very cuddly on the ground, but very energetic under saddle. She is an overachiever, always wanting to work. But very sensitive”.

We work hard to match quality mares with quality stallions, and raise them to the best of our ability to prepare them to be great riding partners and friends for their new owners.

Both VandenBrink mares made Premium at Niagara inspection

We presented 2 young mares from our program for Mare inspection at the Niagara site of the CWHBA Ontario Inspection Tour. It was held as part of Niagara’s Finest Horse Showcase.

Bonfilia is by Bon Balou out of Rivalia (I am Graf Royal/Kadans). Her mom and her granddam were both bred by VandenBrink Warmbloods and also earned their premium awards. Bonfilia is a superb jumper prospect and is for sale.

Special Effects is by Special D out of Restique (Redwine/Gribaldi). Both her dam and Granddam are also Premium mares and they received the distinction of both being the highest scoring mare the year of their inspection. Special Effects is currently in training with Karl Pacey of KJP Equestrian in NIagara.

Update: West River spotted in Ocala FL

So nice to get an update this week from horse I sold years ago. West River a 12 year old and first foal of our mare Rivalia was spotted earlier this week at a clinic in Ocala with her new owner and rider Shannon O’Hatnick. They make a great team and I look forward to seeing them develop their partnership in the showring. I love this photo of her showing her braveness and talent on cross country. We have a few more confident, athletic fillies out of the same mare looking for their show ring partner. Thanks for noticing her Jenny Jelen and making the connection.WestriverFlorida

Consistent producer of quality and type

His Querido is getting to be know as a stallion who stamps his offspring   He rather consistently produces his beautiful head, strong and smooth topline and good feet and legs.  4 Foal Futurity winners in 3 years of breeding.   Several have now been backed and are proving to be easy to handle and very straight forward to start. We look forward to updates from their development under saddle.

 

Another Foal Futurity win for Vandenbrink Warmbloods

For the 3rd year in a row Vandenbrink Warmbloods brings home first prize in the CWHBA Ontario Foal Futurity at the CWHBA Open Breed show at Meadowlarke North.   This year it was His Reverie, a young but very well developed filly by His Querido out of Rivalia by Graf Royal out of Riverdale.  Judge Dorita Kozak complimented the filly on her well developed hindquarters, nice head and neck and beautiful head.  This is a full sibling to the 2016 winner His Rival, and half sibling to last years Harmony, all three sired by VandenBrinks own breeding stallion His Querido.
